Collection's Objects

Collection's Objects

During lockdown, Henry Ford, the Chair of the Collections sub-Committee, has been organising images of a number of Collections objects in to his own database and he has agreed to make this available to Members through the link below.

Henry writes:

We have three aims: to improve our understanding of these objects and to catalogue that knowledge for future generations; to enable us to put these objects on Google Arts and Culture; and to provide you with an interesting journey to time and space through the web.

BRLSI Collections invites everyone to contribute to the research of its objects. We have three aims: to improve our understanding of these objects and to catalogue that knowledge for future generations; to enable us to put these objects on Google Arts and Culture; and to provide you with an interesting journey to time and space through the web.

So we have put 6 objects in 6 categories for you to chose to explore the history, manufacture, materials, uses, cultural significance, or any aspect of that object.

Follow the link provided: http://henriettapark.org/hp/collections.html. This will take you to a temporary page where the images are held, and simple instructions as to how to proceed.  Enjoy the journey.”
