Postponed: BRLSI Big Read: The Pursuit of Love

BRLSI may not be the first to explore Nancy Mitford’s The Pursuit of Love, but it is not far behind BBC 1’s recent TV series. This fictional account of the fascinating Mitford family will be the BRLSI Big Read on Wednesday 21 July 2021.

Nancy Mitford was no ‘woke’; she was famous for her sharp, penetrating observations of life and love as she fought against the boring, both in the countryside and the city.

Penelope Ruddock will introduce the book and lead a discussion. Big Read is free for BRLSI members, with non-members welcome to attend for £5.
