Tue 10 May, 2022 at 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm BST
£2.00 – £5.00Levelling Up is a moral, social and economic programme which sets out how the government will spread opportunity more equally across the UK.
The talk will examine the underlying case for Levelling Up in the light of what we know from both UK and international evidence.
It will discuss the fundamental economic problems that the UK economy faces relating to the economic geography of productivity and prosperity, as well as the institutional and governance challenges ahead as we try to respond to these problems. The talk will also discuss some of the issues shaping these challenges and responses associated with the combined effects of Brexit, Covid and the energy crisis.
